Katie and Katie!! No, that's not a mistake! It's two Katie's that together are bringing some fun and creative classes to K.I.S.S. Events for the first time!

1. Introduce yourself and your company. We are 2Katie designs, your source for funky, fresh and fabulous projects, scrapbooking class instruction & kits. It's really a different kind of scrapbooking experience! Many people refer to us as " T n T" ( Tennis and Tillman) or " The other Katie". 2Katie Designs is made up of Katie Tennis and Katie Tillman, ( we even share the same middle name. Seriously we are not kidding, ask us about it in one of our classes). Katie Tennis yes it's Tennis like the game) is the homeroom Mom we all love to hate. Everything she does is homemade, cute and supremely creative. Her scrapbooking style is fun and fresh. Katie Tillman is the modern Martha with talent in all area's of craftiness minus the kitchen, (she burns everything, even water!!) Tillman has a unique scrapbooking style that incorporates the use of her favorite techniques and products along with stunning multiple photo layouts.
At times Tillman makes Tennis a bit nervous because she can be some what of a loose cannon. In other words Tennis is the "Oprah" in the friendship and Tillman is "Gail." We are the best of friends and wouldn't want to be on this journey with anyone else."

2. How did you get started with your business? We’ve scrapped together for 8+ years and we often sat around and talked about starting a scrapbooking business, but never really did anything but talk about it. Until this past May we decided to "Go for it" and thus 2Katie designs was born. We have grown so much in the past 6 months, we can’t wait to see where we are a year from now!

3. What’s the biggest challenge and also the biggest reward you’ve gotten out of your business? Our biggest challenge has been keeping up with designing! Our customers want MORE, MORE, MORE and we are scrappin’ just as fast as we can to bring new kits to market. It is so rewarding to see kits fly of the shelves and customers wanting MORE of our original designs.

4. What is your favorite creation you’ve made and what made it so special? Probably the item that started 2 Katie Designs will always be near & dear to our hearts – it’s a 6x6 Mini album about Motherhood (another area close to our hearts). It was our first time collaborating, making kits & teaching together!

5. If you could meet anyone, who would it be and why? If we could meet anyone it would be the ladies of the " House of 3" scrapbooking company. These 3 ladies "spark" our creativity with everything they do. Their idea's and projects will knock your socks off. They not only do scrapbooking projects but projects that you can incorporate into the decor of your home which is totally our style.

6. What three things do you use the most when scrapbooking?
Paper Flowers
• Versatile for layering and all page themed. Plus they look pretty in jars on a shelf in our scrapbook room

Bling
• It’s kinda like the saying “tan fat looks better than white fat” a scrapbook page just looks better with sparkle

Stickles
• Just like sprinkles on a cupcake, a page isn’t the same without them. Use them on stickers to add dimension or use them to add sparkle to any patterned paper

7. Complete the sentence, we are all things Funky, Fresh and Fabulous!!!!

8. Our favorite colors to decorate our studio are the Grey and Teal colors you see in our logo. We love all vintage things or anything we can "repurpose" to use in our scrapbook area but sometimes it's whatever the "flavor" of the moment might be.

9. My favorite picture of all time is us in our "Paper Ho" shirts (shout out to Two Chicks Designs) because seriously if you wear this shirt to anything but a scrapbooking thing no one knows what it means and all you get is these strange looks. We know that someday we are going to end up on that "People of Wal-Mart website”.

10. We are most excited about sharing our idea's of using nontraditional scrapbooking items in your scrapbooks with you at K.I.S.S. Scrapbooks. We know after experiencing our class style and page kits you will be a forever customer!

1. Introduce yourself and your company. My name is Debbie and I have been in business since 2001. When I started I felt like I had a little of this and a little of that so hence the name This n That for Memories

2. How did you get started with your business? I went to a scrapbook party and was hooked from then on!

3. What’s the biggest challenge and also the biggest reward you’ve gotten out of your business? My biggest challenge was trying to run a retail store by myself and continue to work a full time job doing something else. My biggest reward is being able to do the thing I love... SCRAPBOOK

4. What is your favorite creation you’ve made and what made it so special? My grandkids books are all special to me!

5. What three things do you use the most when scrapbooking? My cutter, paper and embellishments.

It's about time...

I've been wanting Christie to attend our K.I.S.S. Event for a couple of years but the timing was always off! Well not this year, she's going to be there with some crazy cool clothing including some awesome pajama pants for those weekend crops we will be hosting next year!!

1. Introduce yourself and your company. My name is Christie Welch. I am the Chief Chick (a.k.a. owner) of Two Chicks Designs! We sell scrapbooking apparel and gifts, along with fabulous grab bags and page kits. We try to make scrapbooking FUN! I work with my husband, Brent. Scrapbookers usually call him Mr. Chick. We have two little boys. Zachary is 5 and Andrew is 2. Life at our house is always interesting…there is NEVER a dull moment!

2. How did you get started with your business? Our business began when Brent (Mr. Chick) had screen printing equipment. My mom owns a quilt shop, and we thought it would be fun to make t-shirts for quilters with funny sayings. The quilting t-shirts sold really well, so we expanded into scrapbooking. Now, we have apparel for both hobbies (and several others), but scrapbooking is definitely my focus.

3. What’s the biggest challenge and also the biggest reward you’ve gotten out of your business? The biggest challenge from my business is also the biggest reward! For 4 years, we attended scrapbooking conventions all over the country. I was usually the person at the convention. During our first convention, Zachary learned to walk. I have missed field trips, Halloweens, and more weekends with my family than I can remember! However, the travel was also the biggest reward because I have met so many wonderful women (and a few men too) all over the country. I love being able to talk to our customers and interact with them face to face rather than through email. We have finally grown the business enough that I don’t have to travel if I don’t want to, so I have enjoyed being home this year. Now I try to do a smaller event every few months. I like the smaller venues, and I love that I have time to scrapbook at smaller shows!

4. What is your favorite creation you’ve made and what made it so special? My scrapbooks are my favorite creation. I know that’s a broad answer, but I love it when the boys want to look through their books and “read” them at bedtime. Nothing compares to the joy on their face when they look at the old stories and memories!

5. If you could meet anyone, who would it be and why? This is a hard one…I really don’t know! I promise to have an answer by the crop!

6. What three things do you use the most when scrapbooking?
My pink ATG gun, pop dots, and buttons

7. Complete the sentence, I am excited to come to Joplin and crop with my scrappy friend Jennifer!

8. My favorite colors to decorate my home are reds and browns. My favorite colors to use in my scrapbook are blues and reds…no pink for the boys!

9. My favorite picture of all time is the photo I sent out with Zach’s baby announcements. I love his dimples, crazy hair, and smile!

Lori McCroskey of Clear Dollar Stamps!

1. Introduce yourself and your company. Hello! My name is Lori McCroskey and I own Clear Dollar Stamps! I am a stay at home mom of two wonderful little girls and have a wonderful husband that gets to do all my accounting for me….he’s so lucky!

2. How did you get started with your business? I started my business out of the corner of my basement when my girls were 2 and 4 years old. They would watch Veggie Tales and I would work on my eBay store (which is where I got started). I started with one of the “boxed” stamp companies, and decided that I would really like to be able to sell on the internet and offer a larger variety of Christian stamps, and that is where the dream of Clear Dollar Stamps began. The business is named Clear Dollar Stamps because I started with all dollar stamps. I wanted every stay at home mom to be able to afford this hobby if they desired to do it!

3. What’s the biggest challenge and also the biggest reward you’ve gotten out of your business? The biggest reward to having my own business is getting to be at home with my family and the biggest challenge is trying to balance a business which is in the home!

4. What is your favorite creation you’ve made and what made it so special? We fondly refer to our cards and projects as our paper children….we put so much thought and creativity into each and every one of them. 5. If you could meet anyone, who would it be and why? I would love to meet Jesus because I want to be just like him! Think of the stories he could tell!

6. What three things do you use the most when scrapbooking? I do mostly card and gift making and the three tools I use most are me Scor-pal, Scor-tape and my line of Clearly Coordinating cardstock, ribbons, pens, and markers!

7. Complete the sentence, I am so blessed to have a job that I absolutely love!

8. My favorite colors to decorate my home are anything trendy to use in my scrapbook are whatever coordinates! Painting my house walls was really a challenge for me as my favorite color changes every few months! That is why I like paper crafting so much….so many colors, so little time!

9. My favorite picture of all time is a picture of my daughter walking down our dirt road with the hay field waving around her….just so tranquil!

10. I am most excited about sharing with you at K.I.S.S. Scrapbooks...my love of paper crafting, as well as, ministering and loving people through gifts and cards!

1. Introduce yourself and your company. Carol Haffner/ Stampin' Up

2. How did you get started with your business? I began as a scrapbooker after watching my daughters become involved. I went with my daughters to a crop where one of them won a Stampin' Up stamp set as a prize. The demo came to our table to introduce herself, and help my daughter mount the stamp set. She invited us to her class, and I decided to go ( neither daughter wanted to go)!!!!! I had soooooo much fun at that first class, and began going to her monthly classes, and any class that she would have. I was HOOKED!!!!!! From there, I surpassed both my daughters with tools, accessories, papers, stamps, and anything papercrafting. So much so, that I had to have a room dedicated to my crafting. Last year, knowing retirement was looming this year, I took the "plunge" and became a demo. Something I would have NEVER thought I would do ( get up in front of people and teach / show them how to do different things!!!!! Just not me)!!!!!!! But, Stampin' Up products are awesome, it's easy to share that excitement I felt that very first time I went to my first stamp class. And now, I hope in each class that I have, I have made someone feel the excitement I felt and continue to feel using Stampin Up products.

3. What’s the biggest challenge and also the biggest reward you’ve gotten out of your business? The biggest challenge is to try to create something new for each class and to make my classes exciting and fun for my customers. The greatest reward is when that actually happens, and I have made a new friendship and gotten another person excited about Stampin' Up.

4. If you could meet anyone, who would it be and why? tThis is not scrapbook related - but--GEORGE STRAIT------- just look at him and you'll know WHY!!!!!!!!!!!

5. What three things do you use the most when scrapbooking? Designer paper, Big Shot ( to emboss backgrounds), and punches

7. My favorite colors to decorate my home are dark reds and yellows, to use in my scrapbook are warm, earthy tones ( reds, browns, dk greens).

Tonight, we talk with Sheri of Scrap Nook. To know Sheri is to love her and if you want to sob when looking at a page, just take a few minutes to read some of the journaling on her pages!

1. Introduce yourself and your company. Hi! My name is Sheri Beersman! I own the Scrap Nook in Bolivar, MO. The Scrap Nook is a unique scrapbooking store specializing in the new and different! Live. Love. Scrap.

2. How did you get started with your business? In 2006, I stepped out and quit my teaching job of 12 years to open my new scrapbooking store. I had no idea that it would become a catalyst for meeting the best friends of my life. When I first started, I noticed that there was very little available in the way of good customer service. We don’t just sell scrapbook supplies, we make friends and earn the business of loyal scrapbookers.

3. What’s the biggest challenge and also the biggest reward you’ve gotten out of your business? The biggest challenge is finding good classes and interesting projects that more than just me will like! The biggest reward is helping people find the perfect thing for their special pictures. When you are helping people to create their pages and projects, you have to keep in mind that you are working with their most precious memories. Plus it’s just FUN!

4. What is your favorite creation you’ve made and what made it so special? Lately, I have made a really cool recipe box for one of my friends. I found recipes that were from my family and shared them with her. I used Graphic 45’s Domestic Goddess paper and Tim Holtz Foundations and Curio Knobs.

5. If you could meet anyone, who would it be and why? A few years ago, I would have chosen differently, but now, I think I can say that I would like to meet my best friends for dinner. These ladies have poured the best of themselves into me over the years...I wouldn’t be able to look myself in the mirror if it weren’t for their support.

6. What three things do you use the most when scrapbooking? My Tim Holtz Scissors....my trimmer....my Distress inking tool

7. Complete the sentence, I am CREATIVE and FRIENDLY!

8. My favorite colors to decorate my home are GREEN AND RED and to use in my scrapbook are EVERYTHING—I love all colors and nothing is off limits for me.

9. My favorite picture of all time is one of my Grandpa when he was in the army in the South Pacific. He is coming out of the tent and he is so handsome! He is wearing his army fatigues and smiling so big...the fatigues are all torn up and he is just fit and musclar. I love seeing him look like that and it makes me wish I would have known him then!

10. I am most excited about sharing Tim Holtz Distress inks, alcohol inks, and embossing folders and dies with you at K.I.S.S. Scrapbooks.

1. Introduce yourself and your company. Abi Almandinger, Creative Memories Unit Leader! I help busy people find the perfect photo solution for them, whether it be traditional scrapbooking or slide-in style albums…whatever helps them get it done. I even offer DIFY: Do It For You!

2. How did you get started with your business? I went to a girls night out, saw an album unlike anything I’d ever seen and called up a perfect stranger out of the clear blue sky and said, “I’ll do whatever it takes to get a free album”!

3. What’s the biggest challenge and also the biggest reward you’ve gotten out of your business? The biggest challenge is retaining downline, but the biggest reward is seeing women come out of their shells, and build on their inherent strengths. It’s amazing how women develop when given an opportunity!

4. What is your favorite creation you’ve made and what made it so special? I once made a Easter basket for my daughter, decorating it out of scrapbook paper. Although it was quite simple, I felt very crafty and proud of my creation (usually they don’t turn out so well!), as well as being “Super Mom”!

5. If you could meet anyone, who would it be and why? Jesus…there are just so many questions to ask!

6. What three things do you use the most when scrapbooking? Computer, mouse, and eyeglasses!

7. Complete the sentence, I am very adventurous!

8. My favorite colors to decorate my home are bright colors (I have blue, yellow, red and green in various rooms of my house) to use in my scrapbook are all of our power palettes! (I think I’ve used all or at least most of them!)

9. My favorite picture of all time is my daughter jumping into her daddy’s arms, completely secure in the knowledge he will catch her and loving the adventure!

10. I am most excited about sharing our organizational software, called Memory Manager. It automatically stores your photos chronologically and this program can find any digital photo in about two clicks of a button, even if it is not named. It is AMAZING…oh, and did I mention that it has all kinds of editing features that professional-grade programs offer, but that are a lot easier to use!

When working on your pages do you title all of them? My answer is no, in fact I rarely add titles to my pages. I generally leave room on all my kits for titles for those that like to use them however since most of the page kits I create become my personal pages I rarely go back and add titles.

So what do you do? Title or no title?

It's finally here!! K.I.S.S. Club Creations!

1. What is K.I.S.S. Club Creations? It's a year long, monthly page kit club, shipped and billed automatically each month. You can choose from one of three clubs, Sweet Girl, Oh Boy! and Everyday Moments or any combination of the three. Sweet Girl will focus on the girls in our lives, Oh Boy! will highlight that rough and tumble boy and Everyday Moments will focus on generic, everyday life happenings not Holidays.

2. How much is the club and how long am I committed? Each club will include a double page, 12 x 12 layout, full color instructions, embellishments and all materials precut for you. The cost of the club is only $10.99 each with a shipping fee of $2.99 per month. Purchase more than one club and you only pay shipping for one! Your first payment will be charged immediately with future monthly payments being automatically charged on the 5th of each month.

K.I.S.S. Club Creations is an auto-ship club, this means that you will continue to receive a kit each month until you cancel your membership. You may cancel at anytime prior to the 1st of the month with no cancellation fee. Kits will ship between the 20th - 25th of each month to all accounts in good standing. No skips or returns unless item is damaged or incomplete. Orders placed after the 5th of the month will begin club membership the following month. Example: Purchase club on January 7th, your first kit will begin with the February kit and will ship around February 20th.

3. Why should I choose K.I.S.S. Club Creations? We specialize in pre-designed kits that feature multiple photo mats along with lots of embellishments, custom K.I.S.S. Cuts and great designs. Our pages showcase on average a total of 8-12 photo mats ranging in sizes including 5 x 7, 4 x 6 , 4 x 4 , 3 x 3 and more! We design our pages for those that are limited on time, like to get lots of photos on a page and desire a design that compliments your photos while looking great!!

A few basic supplies and about 30 minutes and you'll have completed pages. Just think you could have up to three COMPLETE albums at the end of 2010!

4. Can I see a preview of the K.I.S.S. Club Creations? While we can't guarantee a preview of each monthly club we will certainly try to update the K.I.S.S. Blog and Facebook Fan Page with the new monthly kit images prior to shipment.

5. Can I buy a kit without signing up for the club? Sorry our K.I.S.S. Club Creations are limited to members only and limited in quantity. On occasion we may have additional Club Creation kits which will be sold online at a price of $12.00 plus shipping and applicable tax.

I'm sad that our daily (okay, almost daily post) are over. Tonight is our final post, I'll be offline all day tomorrow transforming the John Q. Hammons Center into a Scrapbook Rodeo Arena fit for the best cowgirls in the 4-states!

Just a few reminders: We will be having a Preview Party tomorrow night from 5:30-7:30pm. It's a come and go event, drop by, check out our classes, get checked in to save time on Friday and say hi!

Doors will open at 8:30am for croppers on Saturday. You will need to check in, get your name tag and cropper number prior to entering the crop room. Welcoming Ceremonies and Shopping will begin at 10:00am. We have a special surprise to all those early birds that arrive by 10:00am!!

I missed last night. I got so busy packing that I totally forgot to post. We have one more post after this one and then I'll bid farewell until I see you either Thursday for the Preview Party from 5:30-7:30pm or Friday/Saturday for the Memory Round Up Crop. Today, okay last night if you want to get technical, I want to introduce to you the girls of Diamond Cuts. I've already laughed till I cried today, all from stories that past attendees of K.I.S.S. Crop-n-Shop Events started telling! I simply can't wait to make more memories with you ladies and believe me I'm ready to laugh till I cry or pee my pants as a fellow scrapper said!

Tonight we meet another new vendor to K.I.S.S. Ronda has been an online friend/business associate for a couple of years however this weekend will be the first time we get to meet in person. I can't wait for you ladies to see her products and I am very excited to meet her in person!!

Let's see what Ronda shared with us:

1. Tell us a little about yourself. I live in Miamisburg, OH right now but I'm in the process of buying a huge Victorian house in Washington Township. It's a rehab so I will have lots to do over the winter but I'm looking forward to working on it. I'm the mom of an awesome white boxer named J.J. and a meaner than average cat named Harley. I also have an adult step-daughter and two grandsons. By day, I'm a computer geek by day and by night (and weekends) a scrapbook business owner. Between the two, it keeps me busy and out of trouble.

2. Tell us a little about your business. Although it was originally my sister's idea, she backed out but I decided to go ahead anyway. My original thought was to have home parties and to provide affordable scrapbook supplies to people but after holding several crops with my friends and having them beg me to do their pages for them, I decided to start designing kits. The kits sold so well that I figured I would change my focus to kits. Although I had one store, when I discovered that the ScrapbookPageKits.com domain was available, I absolutely had to have it so now I have two web stores to manage. Then, a couple of years ago I purchased a Pazzles Inspiration which not only worked for kits but it allowed me to do overlays which are like photo collage mats for scrapbook pages. In the last 3 years, that has rapidly become my most popular item. The unique thing about the overlays is that they can be personalized at the crops while you wait. People LOVE having a sports overlay with their son or daughter's name on it. My newest product to come out is called Scrapbook Graffiti and it's just what it sounds like -- words for your scrapbook. Most of the titles are cut from Best Creation's Glitter cardstock and they all have some sort of graphic. They are the perfect way to add bling to your pages and best of all -- you can get custom glitter titles at the crops! Just stop by and let me know what you need!

3. What three things can you NOT scrap without? Gosh, I would have to say I absolutely HAVE to have one of my cutters, my Cutter Bee Scissors (and a supply of band aids for when I cut myself with them!), and my Tombow Mono Glue. Before I bought my cutters, I would have these really creative ideas for pages but could never come up with a paper piecing design that was easy to do. After learning to use the cutter, all that has changed! My motto now is, if I can dream it, I can cut it! ;) The Cutter Bee scissors are essential -- I use them to cut out detailed designs and pictures from scrapbook paper and photos and to trim up ragged edges on die cuts. They are also excellent for cutting cable ties when you leave your side cutters in the car and you are trying to tear down your booth after a show. The glue is an absolute necessity -- it's the ONLY glue I've found that will glue together die cuts and they won't come apart. A few years ago I tried a different brand and when I realized that a lot of my die cuts for the kits were falling apart within a few days, I immediately switched to Tombow and I'm glad I did.

4. Where do you draw inspiration from? It may sound strange but most of my inspiration comes from the scrapbook paper itself. I can look at a paper pattern and almost immediately get an idea for a layout. Although sometimes my ideas don't work out, most of the time the finished product turns into a beautiful page kit.

5. If you weren’t a scrapbook business owner what would you be? If I weren't a scrapbook business owner and was independently wealthy so that I didn't HAVE to work, I would be a photographer. I love taking pictures of people and nature. I'm not the sort of person to want to pose the person, though -- I prefer the candid shots when you can really see the true person shining through. If I had to work at a job that actually paid enough to live on, I would probably do exactly what I do in my day job -- I'm a computer programmer and database administrator and I truly love my job. Most days.

6. What three things do you usually have/do when scrapping that aren’t scrap related? At least one or two Tootsie Roll pops, music, and someone to entertain the dog. Seems like it never fails -- I get in the middle of doing something and the dog just absolutely MUST have attention...whether he thinks he heard something dangerous outside that he needs to protect me from or truly believes he is going to faint from hunger or just can't live another five minutes without playing, it doesn't matter. I have to stop and give him "Mom" time.

7. Complete the sentence… I am addicted to: Chocolate Tootsie Roll pops. I actually lucked out recently when Big Lots had bags of Tootsie Roll pops that were ALL chocolate and they were really cheap. People looked at me a little strange when I went to the register with 6 bags but who cares...I probably will never see any of those people again so their opinion of me and my addiction doesn't even matter to me. LOL!

8. My most embarrassing moment was: You don't even want to get me started. There have been SOO many of them in my life and most of them involve me sticking my foot in my mouth.

9. My favorite scrapbook moment was: I have a few but probably the best is the scrapbook that I surprised my mother-in-law with a couple of years ago for Christmas. I took her pictures and told her that I was going to scan them in so that my husband could have a copy of them. You should have seen her face when she opened her gift -- she showed that album to everyone who walked through the door for months!

10. I am most proud of:
My daughter. Although I am only her stepmom (and not even legally that anymore since her dad and I divorced), I can truly
say she is the one thing that I have done in my life that I am most proud of. I raised her from the time she was 5 and I look at her now and I can't believe it. She is a single mother raising two boys, ages 15 and 10, and even bought her own house a few years ago. She works at Miami University in the housekeeping department so I know she isn't making a lot of money, but she still manages to put food on the table and pay all her bills without the support of her deadbeat ex-husband.

Tonight I've been working on the brochure for the Smile Round Up charity we are doing this year. I can't tell you how very excited I am to know that we are going to be able to help so many children. I'm ready to be blown away by the number of cards, postage and envelopes we are going to get!!

Tonight I watched Emma learn how to do a back bend and the sheer joy on her face in accomplishing that feat was priceless. I can't imagine my child not being able to do those things or watching as my child fights for their life day by day. Simple things such as getting a card from a total stranger being the thing that lights up their face. No parent or child should have to go through that!!

OH MY!! So much to tell!!! Be ready to LAUGH till you cry (or in some cases pee your pants!! lol )

Do NOT expect quiet and sedate - we are there to have fun and we want everyone to know it!!

Lots of us take more than we'll ever be able to work on because we are talking so much we don't get as much done as we think we will!

Wear or bring layers - someone is always too warm or too cold .

Wear your running shoes The blue light specials are wonderful! So, make sure you bring some extra money.

You will meet lots of new friends!

Don't be afraid to ask for something you forgot. Somebody has it.

I'm not sure I want to count how many days are left, they are going by sooooo fast!! I have so many things I want to do for you girls, sure hope we get it all done. Sorry I missed last night, we were busy watching Emma dance for the Ronald McDonald House and got to enjoy some family time after so I kinda took a night off from all things cropping! I'll make it up to you tonight by introducing Bettie Luper. I've been trying for a couple of years to get her up to one of our crops and am so happy to say she's going to be here this year!! Not only be here but teaching two awesome card classes, Bettie's Cards on both Friday and Saturday.

Let's meet Bettie:

1. Tell us a little about yourself. I am a retired schoolteacher from Fayetteville, Arkansas. I have three adult children who are all married and each child has a son and daughter. My daughter and her sweet hubby are expecting their third child in March. My oldest son and his wife are engineers in Houston, and my second son is a Major with the 82nd Airborne serving in Afghanistan while his family stays at their permanent duty station in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

2. Tell us a little about your business. I started working in scrapbooking after I retired from teaching. I work part time at Signed Sealed Delivered in Rogers, Arkansas and teach their card classes and monthly Basic Grey class. The thing I like best about my classes is that we all laugh a lot, learn a lot, and leave with cards ready to send or a beautiful layout done in that special Basic Grey style.

3. What three things can you NOT scrap without? I can’t scrap without repositionable adhesive, distress ink, or a rotary style cutter. When I design for classes I change my mind so many times before I get each card just right for presentation to the public. I use distress ink because some cards simply look naked without a little ink. I need a rotary style cutter because they are studier for all the cutting I do when making kits each month.

4. Where do you draw inspiration from? I look for inspiration everywhere-fashion, home décor, billboards, advertisements, magazines. I’m always looking for the next card design.

5. If you weren’t a scrapbook business owner what would you be? I would make scrapbook and quilts as a hobby. Working in the scrapbooking business, I never have enough time to work on projects for myself. I have a room filled with projects patiently waiting for me to retire the second time.

6. What three things do you usually have/do when scrapping that aren’t scrap related?
When I scrap at home I watch old movies, and late, late night news shows. At crops I love to look at everyone’s work and visit with all the croppers.

7. Complete the sentence… I am addicted to: Caffeine I find it hard to function without my Coca Cola for breakfast.

8. My most embarrassing moment was: I was leading a game at a large crop when I stumbled and almost fell flat on my face while every eye in the room was looking directly at me and giving a collected gasp.

9. My favorite scrapbook moment was: When the Washburn’s owned Signed Sealed Delivered, the store won an award at the Dallas Market. They took the employees on a road trip to the awards ceremony. The event was complete with formal attire, red carpet, fabulous hotel and photo ops. We felt like movie stars for the day.

10. I am most proud of: My children: they work hard, love God, their families and even each other.

Hubby calls me today just a little freaked out. He ask what the heck I've ordered now and I say simply, "the girls welcome gifts sweetie!" He then proceeds to tell me they were unloading the 4th pallet of boxes and that each pallet was over 8' tall!

I couldn't show you the 4th one or you might have been able to tell what your welcome gift was and we don't want that!!! Right ladies?

Sheri with The Scrap Nook! Sheri joined us for the first time last year and was a delight. We are very glad to have her back and for the first time at a K.I.S.S. Event Sheri will be sharing her talents in the classroom. She's teaching two classes, both packed with product!! On Friday she's teaching Circle of Friends Mini Album and on Saturday she'll be teaching It's Elementary. If you can't make it to either of the classes, no worries you can purchase the class kits and we'll hold them for you for pick up at the Memory Round Up or for a small shipping fee we'll ship them to ya!! Let's see what Sheri has to share with us:

1. Tell us a little about yourself. My name is Sheri Beersman, I own the Scrap Nook in both Bolivar and Springfield, MO. I live about half way between the north side of Springfield and the south side of Bolivar in a town called Morrisville (no laughing, please). I have been married for 17 years to my husband, Wes and we have three children…Chris is 22 and has almost been married for a year to his wife, Reagan. They are both in college—Chris just got out of the Marine Corps where he served 4 years and did two tours of Iraq. Lauren is 21 and got married in June this year. She and her husband, Shawn are both in college, and Danielle is 15, a sophomore in high school. Until May, my grandfather lived with us too. He had lived here eight years, but he passed away at the age of 96.

2. Tell us a little about your business. The Scrap Nook is getting ready to celebrate our THIRD birthday. We opened December 1, 2006 in Bolivar. We thought Scrap NOOK was a play on the word ScrapBOOK, so that’s how the name was chosen. We try to carry the very latest and greatest in scrapbooking and paper crafting. We have two stores—one on NORTH Glenstone in Springfield at the intersection of Valley Watermill Road and Glenstone and one in Bolivar on Broadway at the intersection of D Highway. If you come to our store, the COOLEST thing you will find is SUPERB customer service! We appreciate our customers, and take care of them in the way WE would want if we were the shoppers!

3. What three things can you NOT scrap without? I couldn’t scrap without my non-stick Craft Mat because it protects my table surface and NOTHING (I am serious) NOTHING will stick to it! Not glue, not inks, not Sharpie, not ANYTHING…and you can heat emboss on it too! J I couldn’t scrap without my Tim Holtz inking tool…it is the BEST thing I have ever used for applying ink to my papers. I won’t use a make up sponge again unless I am FORCED. I also couldn’t scrap without my Tim Holtz scissors by Tonic. They are the BEST scissors in the WORLD. They will cut through chipboard, metal, wire, anything….and then you can turn right around and cut through fabric or ribbon with ease! Love these scissors!

4. Where do you draw inspiration from? I steal ( I think she means scraplift, LOL!) a lot from scrapbook.com, but lately I am doing a lot of my own stuff…and I think it is the picture or the topic that inspires me…music also inspires me. I love to use lines from songs as my titles and journaling.

5. If you weren’t a scrapbook business owner what would you be? Well, I was a teacher (elementary) and school librarian before, so I would probably do that again because I loved the kids so much…miss that sometimes!

6. What three things do you usually have/do when scrapping that aren’t scrap related? You mean dishes, cooking, and laundry? Nope. Gave that up a long time ago…I’d rather be scrapbooking…

7. Complete the sentence… I am addicted to: Maya Road, Basic Grey, and Bo Bunny. Seriously. I could be happy with these three paper lines and NO others…I am kinda weird like that!

8. My most embarrassing moment was: Do I seriously have to tell this? Really? If I try to lie, there are too many people who know…so here goes. Last year at my own retreat, I broke my foot—actually someone else did, but I thought maybe it wasn’t broken—just bruised badly. So I didn’t go to the hospital. However, when it came time to take ibuprofen again, I had put my other medications into a small box with just enough for the weekend. Instead of taking one of every pill, I accidentally took TWO ambient and none of one of the medicines. Needless to say, I don’t remember the night AT ALL…and apparently, I told my friends that another of the people attending the came (**cough**Darby**cough**) had given me VICODIN. So my friends are knocking on everyone’s doors at 2 a.m. looking for a nurse and trying to find out what drugs “someone” gave to me. I slept peacefully until noon the next day—oblivious to it all—however, I cannot live it down today. We discovered the problem the next day when I didn’t have any of the Ambien left…I still say someone slipped it to me. (**cough**Darby**cough**)

9. My favorite scrapbook moment was: I cannot say that I have one favorite moment. Owning the stores has given me so many wonderful moments that I just couldn’t nail only one down. I have made some AMAZING friends and just had the BEST of times while working into the night on those layouts! Anytime I am scrapbooking is a good time!

10. I am most proud of: my friends and family. They keep me grounded, together, and ready for the next thing…I am blessed beyond measure and I am well aware of what God has given me. To Him alone be the glory.

1. Tell us a little about yourself
My name is Lori McCroskey and I am the mother of two wonderful little girls. I live in the middle of a 20 acre hayfield (AAA-CHOO) in Pleasant Hope, Missouri…..25 miles from the nearest craft store.....YIKES! So I brought the craft store to me! I started the business out of my basement in the fall of 2004, with my girls playing beside me. What could be better

2. Tell us a little about your business.
I started stamping in the summer of 2000 while I was pregnant with my first little girl. I had a friend from church that kept asking me to go to stamping parties, and I just thought “stamping party, how silly is that?” Finally, I relented. I went to a stamping party, got hooked on scrapbooking AND found out there were inks that I could stamp on clothing! I have a fashion design minor so I was hooked from that moment on! Can you imagine? Matching clothes and scrapbook pages? I was in heaven. After having my first child, my ideas of spare time quickly vanished. There weren’t many stamped dresses, but I found time to do some scrapbook pages, cards and gifts! As my passion for stamping grew faster than the money in my billfold, I decided to start selling one of the lines of stamps, for an existing stamp company, shortly after my second little girl was born. I would throw food on her high chair and run to my stamping table in the same room to see how much I could get done while she ate! LOL, We’ve all been there! As time went on, it became harder and harder to leave my little girlies crying in the hallway as mommy went off to do a stamp party. It just broke my heart. Thus, the dream of Clear Dollar Stamps began.

Why did I start my own stamp company? Most stamp companies, at that time, would not let you sell their products on the Internet, which is what I wanted to do…..I wanted to be at home. I also found it very hard to find unique Christian stamps. I really wanted something that would convey my love for God in a whimsical, out of the ordinary sort of way. As a stay at home mom, I wanted to create a line of stamps that other stay at home moms could afford to create beautiful cards, crafts, and scrapbook pages. Why did I name my company Clear Dollar Stamps? I wanted people to know they were affordable! Why do I have a cross in the middle of my company name? I want people to know that Christ is the center of my business and the center of my life!

My sister, Stephanie, and I always do the scrapbook shows together. She is the artistic one in our family….I just pretend! Stephanie teaches most of the classes in the booth, while I answer all the questions people have and help you gather your goodies!
We teach stamping techniques, coloring techniques, and much more. All of what you learn in our booth can be used for Scrapbooking, Card making, and Gift making….which is what is top of mind this season! We will have many gift ideas for Christmas in the booth….you won’t want to miss out on seeing every one of them!
Our booth usually has a constant line, but don’t give up! Keep checking back to make as many of the projects as you can!

3. If I weren’t a stamper and scrapbooker, I would design clothes and accessories for Barbie! When my sister and I were little, all we did was create things for Barbies and play with our Barbies. I just love creating fun things for my little girls to play with! Last Christmas, I made them a Barbie school (tutorial for this is on my blog), this year I am going to make them a dress salon and Barbie sofa, chairs, and bunk beds!

4. I am addicted to creating! My mind never stops. I am one of those people that sleep with a notepad, travel with a notepad, and create notepads to write idea in! My husband is an accountant, and doesn’t understand how someone can constantly come up with new ideas! We make a good team!

5. My most embarrassing moment was: WHO ANSWERS THIS QUESTION? I don’t want to relive that moment! I will say it does involve pregnancy and an emergency bathroom stop.

6. My favorite scrapbook moment was when my girls started begging to look at their albums every day. That is what it is all about!

7. I am most proud of my two wonderful little girls that God gave me and blesses me with each and every day!

Lori sounds like tons of fun doesn't she!! I can't wait to see all her stamps and learn some new techniques at the Clear Dollar Stamps booth.

Tonight we meet the Queen of Paper! It always amazes me how much paper Debbie brings to the event. I watch and keep thinking that's got to be the end of it yet she some how always surprises me with more!! You can be sure there will be some that you MUST have.

Here's a little something about the Paper Lady:

1. Tell us a little about yourself. My name is Debbie and I live in Auxvasse, Mo little town of 902 people and probably that many dogs LOL. I have two grown children Angela and Andrew both are married and Angela lives in Springfield with my grandkids Kobe 10 and Jada 6. Some of you may have seen them already they have grown up around scrapbooking. Andrew lives in Kansas City and has one step son Carson 9 and one on the way due in May….YEAH

2. Tell us a little about your business. I have been in business since 2001. I have had a store for 6 of those years and have done a traveling store the rest of the time. I chose my name because I had a little of this product and a lot of that--hence This n That for Memories. My specialty is Paper and brads. At most of the shows I do they call start calling me the Paper Lady.

3. What three things can you NOT scrap without? To scrap I need TIME, plenty of Room (I like to spread out—give me an inch and I will take up a mile) and my cutter.

4. Where do you draw inspiration from? Family

5. If you weren’t a scrapbook business owner what would you be? I would be at all the crops I could find working on my own pictures I never seem to have time to do it.

6. What three things do you usually have/do when scrapping that aren’t scrap related?
Listen to a book on cd, eat and talk

7. Complete the sentence… I am addicted to: Buying!! I can not seem to stop buying new items, I think I have to have it all (or most of it anyway)

8. My most embarrassing moment was: I had taken some scrappers to Tennessee to scrap and we were taking time to eat. I was in a hurry and I fell up the stairs with a plate of food in one hand and a sharp knife in the other hand. I didn’t hurt myself but I thought they were going to have a cow when I fell .

Tonight we are going to learn a little more about the Diva Designs Girls! JJ and Vicki are known as the altering divas at our events. They can alter anything and teach you so that you look like a pro! I swear if you stand still long enough they will figure out how to alter you!! The girls will be teaching you all their tricks in three classes this year, on Friday: Altering 101 and Dates to Remember. On Saturday they are sharing their talents in Altered DVD Organizer.

Let's meet JJ and Vicki:

1. Tell us a little about yourself. Vicki and J.J. are both married to Jeff…not the same one, but each has a husband named Jeff who happen to be very good friends. Vicki has two boys and J has two girls. We both live in Topeka, Kansas. For our real jobs, Vicki is a psychiatric nurse practitioner and J.J. is an accountant. We much prefer the scrapbooking way of life!

2. Tell us a little about your business. We started our business in 2005. We don’t have a good reason for our name!! We specialize in altered projects and love to show people other ways to use their favorite scrapbooking supplies for things other than scrapbooking. Our classes should not be missed because the projects make great gifts for others or yourself, and the products we show you to use are what we use on all our projects in our booth. So, if you take a class, you will learn what you need to know to do lots of other great stuff!

3. What three things can you NOT scrap without? Diet Coke, Chocolate, and girlfriends!! The caffeine keeps us alert and the girlfriends keep us entertained!

4. Where do you draw inspiration from? Diet coke, chocolate, and girlfriends!!

5. If you weren’t a scrapbook business owner what would you be? What we are now…a boring bean counter and a stressed out psychiatric nurse practitioner because we have to pay the bills!

6. What three things do you usually have/do when scrapping that aren’t scrap related?
Well, we have to have Diet coke, chocolate, and girlfriends!! And, we have to drink diet coke, eat chocolate, and gab with our girlfriends!

8. My most embarrassing moment was: We have too many to mention! It actually takes a LOT to embarrass us!! We give crap as easily as we take it and we just love to joke around and have fun!!

We are so excited about the classes that we are offering this year that we are going to host a Preview Party on Thursday, November 12th from 5:30-7:30pm! That's right, you can stop by the JQ Hammons Center to check out the classes in person, pick up your crop tickets and purchase any last minute classes you may be interested in. Now, you won't be able to bring in your crop supplies but you won't have to stand in line to get your tickets on Friday, you'll be able to see first hand the talents of our teachers and get the first peeks of the Memory Round Up!!

Thought I'd just answer some questions that I've been getting today regarding the Memory Round Up Crop. If you haven't had a chance to check out the FAQ's section on the website be sure to do that. It's full of great info!! FAQ's

1. I don't want to miss any of the fun things (blue lights, games, prizes, etc) but really want to take some classes. No problem! If you are not present when your name is called for a prize or game it will go back in to be drawn again. And this year we will not be doing Blue Lights until after 6:00pm on Friday and 5:00pm on Saturday so that everyone has a chance to participate.

2. I want to take classes but can't make it during the class time. That's easy!! Buy the class kit, many of our teachers will be offering their classes as kits that you can purchase and do on your own time. You will need to purchase a class ticket prior to November 1st for any classes or class kits you are interested in.

3. Can I bring my cricut/computer, etc. Yes you may, however you MUST bring an extension cord AND a power strip with you. Also, no additional tables will be allowed in at this event.

4. I can't seem to register for the crop, can you help? We have currently sold out all crop seats. If you are interested in being added to the waiting list email us at info@kisscropnshop.com. If we have any openings we will contact you on a first come-first serve basis.

5. I can't come to crop but really want to shop and take classes. How much does that cost? Nothing to shop!! Please feel free to come shop with us Friday from 10-6 and Saturday from 10-5. We never charge to shop and would love to have you!! Classes vary in pricing, length and projects. You can review and register for classes online at http://www.kisscropnshop.com. Class registration will close on November 1st so our teachers are able to prepare for their classes. Some but not all teachers will allow sales of class tickets at the door so if you really want to take a class you'll want to order it online so you don't miss out!

6. I want to participate in the Secret Sister but can't get the form to edit. If you are having trouble editing the form to add your information simply copy and paste the information in an email, add your answers and email it to info@kisscropnshop.com. All forms will need to be turned in by October 31st. No late entries will be accepted!!

The days are ticking away quickly and the boxes are arriving. We are expecting most of the Blue Lights to come in this week. Over 450lbs! Yes, you read that right, 450lbs of Blue Lights have been ordered! Isn't that crazy, I can't wait to see that truck pull up and yes I'll get pictures for you!

So what is a Blue Light? They are awesome, fabulous, crazy deals! Remember when K-Mart and Wal-Mart would do Blue Light specials? Same concept at K.I.S.S. Crops, we bring it great products, we give you a time limit and a crazy prize and you get to shop!! It's tons of fun and you get great deals. We will have a minimum of 6 Blue Lights at the Memory Round Up Crop and you can bet they are gonna be good!

Meet Nancy

Nancy is a fellow scrapbooker and K.I.S.S. Instructor. She does an incredible job at putting together great gift ideas and is always very excited to share her talents and ideas at K.I.S.S. Events. Nancy is teaching two classes this year, each class is being taught on both Friday and Saturday. Holiday Wraps in a Snap will feature two awesome gift packaging ideas and Memories Year Round a fun calendar, the perfect gift for everyone!

1. Tell us a little about yourself, where you live. I am originally from Scottsbluff, Nebraska. I now reside in Iola, Kansas. I have been married for over 26 years to my hubby who is a pastor and have two sons ages 14 and 9.

2. Tell us a little about your business. I met Shannon because of my in-laws. They used to buy me gift certificates when she ran the scrapping store. I started attending her events as much as possible and started teaching classes for K.I.S.S. last year.

3. What three things can you NOT scrap without? My Cricut is quickly becoming a must-have for my time when I scrap. I also need ribbon and stickles and many colors of fluid chalk pads!!

4. Where do you draw inspiration from? Magazines and scrapbooking message boards on the Internet

5. What three things do you usually have/do when scrapping that aren’t scrap related? Watch a movie on Netflix and eat chocolate and boot my kids off the computer so I can use it!!

6. Complete the sentence… I am addicted to: Stickles

7. My most embarrassing moment was: Stepping out of the car after sleeping in the back seat during a very rainy camping trip. I then proceeded to slide down the muddy river bank on my rear end.

9. My favorite scrapbook moment was: When I give an altered item or album to someone and watch the expression on their face and see how truly grateful they are for the gift.

10. I am most proud of: my kids when they excel in school or participate in a community play. I am also proud of myself when I finish a project ON TIME!!!

JUST KIDDING!! We are making our list, making more and marking off a few. I've been seeing the UPS man almost daily and he just keeps smiling and carrying them in. Little does he know it's only going to get worse from now until Memory Round Up.

Sooo...wanna know what came in today? The 2nd and 3rd place prizes for the Smile Round Up winners, one of the awesome blue lights and some of the goodies for our contests. Don't you wish you could see them.........as if!! LOL!!

Secret Sister...you should be one!

We started this last year at our November crop and those that participated LOVED it! We were told we had to do it again so we are!

Here's how it works: You complete the Secret Sister form that can be found here, http://www.kisscropnshop.com/SecretSister.pdf. Email it to info@kisscropnshop.com by October 31st! On November 1st you will get an email with your sisters completed sheet. You should NOT contact your sister prior to the event nor tell anyone who you have. In fact, I don't even know who you get cause I like to play along to so I will have my hubby pair us up and take care of the matching and emailing for us.

As a Secret Sister you get to spoil your Sister for the entire Memory Round Up Crop. You will bring in her gift(s) in wrapped packages with her name on them and the time/day you want the package delivered. There will be a special Secret Sister area for this or you can give goodies to any of my helpers. We will make sure they are delivered as specified and that your sister doesn't find out ahead of time who you are. It's alot of fun if you give several smaller gifts during the weekend then one larger "reveal" gift at the Sister Meeting to be held Saturday evening.

Some ideas of gifts: your sisters favorite candy bar tied with a fun scrapbook ribbon, a bag full of her favorite color of embellishments from your stash, a homemade card with a little goodie. What about a few sheets of paper that would work for a project she's told you about, some seasonal post-it notes, a Christmas ornament, the list could go on and on!! It can be lots of fun and not cost much. In fact, the minimum amount to spend on your sister is $5.00 and the maximum is $15.00. Just keep in mind, what you give should be what you would like to get!

We are very excited to have Kristy of Kristy's Custom Creations returning for her 2nd year with K.I.S.S. Crop-n-Shop Events and even more excited to announce she will be sharing her creative talents with us by teaching two card classes. Christmas Card Creations on Friday and All Occasion Card Creations on Saturday.

Let's get to know a little more about Kristy...

1. Tell us a little about yourself. I’m Kristy Dowlin. I’ve been married for 6 years to my wonderful husband Rob. I have to grown stepchildren and someday soon hope to hear that there’s a grand baby on the way. Rob and I have 2 fur kids at home that keep us in stitches with all of their funny antics.

2. Tell us a little about your business. I started my business almost 2 years ago when the company that I worked for went out of business. It was wintertime and I decided that I really wanted to have a job that I could do at home in my jammies. I had been scrapping for about 8 years at the time and had been asked numerous times to make scrapbooks for my friends and coworkers. So I decided to take the plunge and opened Kristy’s Custom Creations. I design premade layouts and page kits. I also make puppy albums for a couple of friends that raise puppies. Kim Kardashian and Vice President Biden’s brother are among some that have received my puppy albums. I’ll be teaching 2 card classes this year at KISS. This is somewhat new to me and I am very excited to do it.

3. What three things can you NOT scrap without? I absolutely have to have my fine point scissors, Bazzill cardstock, and a VersaMark stamp.

4. Where do you draw inspiration from? I am constantly looking at billboards, magazine advertisements, logos, and things like that for design inspiration. Although, I must admit that most of my page kit designs come from a dream that I’ve had or are thought up while I’m in the shower.

5. If you weren’t a scrapbook business owner what would you be? My background is business administration so I’m sure I’d be sitting behind a desk somewhere doing the 9 to 5 thang.

6. What three things do you usually have/do when scrapping that aren’t scrap related? I must have a cold glass of ginger ale, the company of my dog Lilly (she’s my supervisor) and most likely the sound of the tv. 7. Complete the sentence… I am addicted to: honestly, the only thing that comes to mind is FaceBook. Lol.

8. My most embarrassing moment was: that’s classified, if I shared it with you I’m pretty sure the FBI would come knocking on your door looking for answers, so I better keep that one to myself.

9. My favorite scrapbook moment was: when I found out that Kim Kardashian was getting one of my puppy albums.

10. I am most proud of: being brave enough to open my own business. I have met some incredible women at the crops I’ve been to. I’ve learned so much and wouldn’t trade this experience for anything in the world.

So you now know, we have the makings of The Scrapper of the Stars amongst us. I don't know about you but I'm getting Kristy's autograph so I can say "I knew her when...."

1. Tell us a little about yourself. I’m Abi Almandinger and I married for love to get my last name! I live in Carthage, Missouri with my fabulous family: My husband Travis (who does ALL the cooking and grocery shopping, no I’m not kidding! I haven’t cooked in 15 years!), my 5 year old daughter, Charlie, and my 3 year old son, Hank.

2. Tell us a little about your business. I’ve been a CM consultant for 11 ½ years and LOVE it! We are a home based, direct sales company, primarily known for our traditional product line, but have sense dominated the digital world with two amazing software programs that are awesome and make scrapbooking SO easy. I work out of my home in Carthage and you should definitely come and check out our new power palettes, i.e. updated and trendy papers, stickers, and now paper flowers, buttons and ribbons!

3. What three things can you NOT scrap without? I can’t live without a fine-tip black pen (you’ve GOT to add the stories!), my Memory Manager program that keeps all my photos chronologically and my 12’ Rotary Trimmer.

4. Where do you draw inspiration from? I wasn’t given the creative gene, so I draw inspiration from the CM Idea Books, or our catalog!

5. If you weren’t a scrapbook business owner what would you be? A translator. I speak Spanish and love to help people who are unsure of their environment and what could be happening to them.

6. What three things do you usually have/do when scrapping that aren’t scrap related? definitely music and soda

7. Complete the sentence… I am addicted to: Traveling and my iPhone!

8. My most embarrassing moment was: I don’t really get too embarrassed and am pretty adventurous. I’ll try anything!

9. My favorite scrapbook moment was: Completing my wedding album (I had just started scrapbooking) and knowing this would be something I would do forever.

10. I am most proud of: My children being bilingual and also becoming a Unit Leader and being in the top 5% of my company.

Tonight we are going to introduce to you one of our most requested teachers....Mrs. Darby Bowler. Darby is a returning favorite of K.I.S.S. class attendees. She's participated with K.I.S.S. Events from the very first year and never ceases to amaze us with her talents. Check out some fun info about Darby and then be sure to go sign up for her classes, they are fast paced, fun and product packed!

1. Tell us a little about yourself. I have lived in Springfield Mo Since I was 3. I am married and just celebrated my 21st wedding anniversary at Walt Disney World with my husband Tim and my 8 year old Evan. I am the youngest daughter (of 4 girls) of a creative woman who started me crafting at an early age which led me to scrapbooking.

2.What will you be sharing with us at K.I.S.S. Events? I am teaching 4 classes at KISS. (3-D Christmas Flowers, Happy Camper Mini Album, Have a Holly Jolly Christmas and Wanted Dead or Alive) I love to share with people not only a project but ideas. I also learn a great deal from this. I think my projects are clever and well thought out. I try to follow the trends but also add my flair to them. They are sophisticated enough for the advanced scrapbooker, but also easy enough for a beginner.

3 .What three things can you NOT scrap without? Good scissors, mono glue and cardstock… with these three items you can make an entire layout.

4. Where do you draw inspiration from? All over… I use the Internet, magazines, store ads and life.

5. If you weren’t a scrapbook business owner what would you be? Well, I am an independent contractor with Company sponsorship, so that is Pretty good.

6. What three things do you usually have/do when scrapping that aren’t scrap related?
Have a big drink, something good to listen to (tv or talk) and enjoy my time away from the real world!

7. Complete the sentence… I am addicted to: PAPER… I see myself laying it out and rolling on it like money…BUT I would not want to wrinkle it!!!

8. My most embarrassing moment was: Oh Gracious, which time…

9. My favorite scrapbook moment was: Oh I don’t know… they are all my favorite scrapbook moments.

10. I am most proud of: The success I have had and the end result that I have made a lot of GREAT friends due to scrapbooking.

Memory Round Up Countdown - Day 30

We are counting down the days..... 30 until November 13th!!

Each day from now until November 13th we'll add a post here and a link on Facebook. You don't want to miss a single one, some may have specials that are good for that day only, some may have important messages from vendors and some may be totally for fun!!

To begin we've sent some questions to our vendors and teachers. Tonight we'd like to introduce to you Angela Blomberg of Dandelion Pages. Angela is a new vendor to K.I.S.S. Scrapbooks however she's no stranger. To those that went on the Kansas City bus trip a couple of years ago you may remember Angela. She had setup a trunk show for us at a local store as A Design Intervention. She's changed her company name but her talents are still the same, amazing! Read Angela's interview and feel free to leave questions for her.

1. Tell us a little about yourself:. My name is Angela Blomberg. I am married with a daughter and a son, both in college. Our family lives in Blue Springs, MO.

2. Tell us a little about your business. My business is Dandelion Pages (formerly known as A Design Intervention). I have been an on-line page kit company for three years. I started my own company after working at two different scrapbooking stores in the KC area. We specialize in two page scrapbook layout kits. My class (Merry and Bright Mini Album) is a mini album which is my favorite project to teach in a class. I try to bring several different techniques to each class I teach. My booth will be full of great page kits as well as individual items from JilliBean Soup, and Bella Blvd. Everyone will want to check out our Maya Mist, a great mist that completely covers chipboard pieces. We will use it in our class as well.

3. What three things can you NOT scrap without? I find that I use pop-dots, Chestnut Roan Cat’s Eye ink and patterned paper in almost every project! I LOVE patterned paper and rarely use solid paper. I like my projects to have a lot of dimension (therefore the pop-dots) and the ink adds definition as well.

4. Where do you draw inspiration from? I feel that I am a product based creator. I usually find patterned paper that I love and start from there. I try to pay attention to signs and graphic elements outside the scrapbooking world to draw ideas from as well.

5. If you weren’t a scrapbook business owner what would you be? I think I would be crazy! I was a stay at home mom before I got into the business side of scrapbooking and now that my children are off to college, I don’t know what I would do to keep busy.

6. What three things do you usually have/do when scrapping that aren’t scrap related? Really just two: a Starbucks latte and my dog who is constantly underfoot and dying to chew on any scrap of chipboard I drop! I don’t listen to music or t.v. I like the quiet.

7. Complete the sentence… I am addicted to: the beach! In fact I am headed to a tropical island the week before the crop. So I’ll be relaxed & tan when you see me.

8. My most embarrassing moment was: Well, we won’t go there…

9. My favorite scrapbook moment was: When I discovered scrapbooking and was excited to find a creative outlet.

10. I am most proud of: My children.

Scrap Pink was FANTASTIC!!

Never fails, I always think after each crop that the next one simply can't get any better than they go and prove me wrong!! We had over 65 ladies join us for two full days of cropping, pampering and laughter! We raised a ton of money for breast cancer, gave away a ton of prizes and even got everyone up and out of their seats to meet new friends. What can get better than that?

We raised almost $200.00 in loose change and the above bras were the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in the decorated bra contest!

What are your middle names?

Mae and Brent - My middle name came from my paternal grandmother Freida Mae. Not sure where Greg's middle name came from. His first name was from a good friend of his dad, Greg Spittler.

How long have you been together?

February 17th will be our 19th anniversary, that's so hard to believe!

How long did you know each other before you started dating?

Can't remember that far back, LOL!! I remember seeing him in the halls at school and saying hi in passing. His smile is beyond breathtaking and he looked fine in those Wrangler jeans and that white shirt. (that's the first time I really remember noticing him!) We really didn't hang in the same group and I'm pretty sure he was dating someone when we first started casually talking.

Who asked whom out?

Greg asked me out. We went to a basketball game and to a little ice cream drive-in shop (that has been since bulldozed down to make room for a park in Neosho)

How old are you?

I am 36 and Greg is 38. I never can remember how old I am (seriously!) so I always ask Greg how old he is and subtract two!

Whose siblings do you see the most?

Probably Greg's. We have Sunday dinner at his mom's ever week and both his brother and sister and families are there.

What situation is the hardest on you as a couple?

Parenting, where is that darn manual to tell you how to do it correctly?

Did you go to the same school?

Yes, kind of. I moved a LOT growing up, usually about every two years if not sooner and no we are not army brats. Greg went to the same school his entire life and now serves on the school board for that school. I went to the same school with Greg for my Freshman year then had to move again but it was just the next town over.

Are you from the same hometown?

Well, I have lived in Granby longer than I ever lived anywhere else so I consider it my hometown. He has lived on the same property since he was born!

Who is smarter?

GREG, Hands down!! I can't remember anything from school. Don't ask me what direction I'm going or what part of the country I'm in or to solve an Algebra problem or to discuss History. Won't happen!! Funny thing is I made great grades in all my subjects, not sure how! LOL! I am a much better/faster reader and he's not very knowledgeable with the computer but getting better with the help of Emma. Between the two of us our kids have a chance I guess!

Who is the most sensitive?

Not sure that either of us are terribly sensitive. We have both been told we can be pretty cold. We aren't mean, we just don't get terribly upset about things that others do or get involved. We keep to ourselves more often than not.

Where do you eat out most as a couple?

We don't eat out much and rarely ever get to go without at least one kid. If we do eat out it's at Red, Hot and Blue or Mexican. Those are our favorites that we both agree on.

Where is the furthest you have traveled together as a couple?

We don't get the chance to travel together much. Couldn't afford it when we were younger and now that we are older Greg's back issues prevents us from traveling much. When we do travel it is as a family vacation - Colorado, Tennessee and Arkansas so far.

Who has the worst temper?

Ohhh that depends on the situation. I like to argue and clear the air, Greg tends to pout and get real quiet for what seems like days. We don't get upset very often at all with each other, well minor things like him not taking the trash out when we are walking around it to open the fridge or when I forget to do a load of laundry and he has no clothes to wear to work but not major issues. We could count on both hands the number of times we've really fought in our 18 years, I think that's pretty darn good!

Who does the cooking?

Greg again! I hate to cook, I like nothing about it so he does cook more than I do. He loves to grill and I love to let him grill, means no cooking for me. Now I will do the side dishes and make the salad and I do cook 2-3 meals a week. He cooks most all of our breakfast meals when we get to eat breakfast as a family.

Who is the neat freak?

Neither of us are neat freaks but I do like things much cleaner than he does. My mom was and is a neat freak, his mom very laid back so we are a happy mix of both of them. Our house is lived in, not spotless not gross! LOL!! I do have to have a clean kitchen before starting the next meal, drives Greg crazy!

Who is more stubborn?

We both can be pretty darn stubborn, I'd say Greg is more stubborn but I bet he would say I am. Hmmm...maybe I should have him do this and compare the answers!

Who is the bed hog?

GREG! Since his back surgeries I sleep in what I call Fort Knox of Pillows! He has two under his head, one under his leg, one under his arm. With that many pillows there is not much room left for me, not too mention that I get one pillow!

Who wakes up earlier?

Not me! I'm not a morning person at all. Greg is. We are polar opposites here and it's taken years to make him realize that. I don't like getting up early, I'm not talkative and don't want to be talked to and it takes me awhile to wake up. Greg is Mr. Happy in the mornings and the earlier the better. I'm not sure what time he gets up but it's around 5:30 every morning and he doesn't have to be to work till 7:30. That's crazy in my opinion! I have to take kids to school at 8:00, I get up at 7:30 and we drive 10 minutes. Sleep is GOOD!

Where was your first date?

I already told that. We did have a funny dating story. Greg picked me up for a date at my house in Fairview and had to take me home to my new house in Neosho. Yes, my parents moved while I was on a date. I'm telling ya, they moved a LOT!

Who is more jealous?

I'm not sure either of us are jealous people.

How long did it take to get serious?

Not very long at all! I still remember where we were the first time he told me he loved me. We were driving in his black truck on the S curves on Hwy 86. I about fell out of the truck! He did get more serious before I did, I was scared to death and not sure how to handle it so tried to push him away. Sure glad he is stubborn and didn't give up on me!

Who eats more?

Greg has a big appetite. He doesn't miss a meal and must have three meals every day. I generally eat breakfast and dinner, sometime just dinner if it's a busy day.

Who does the laundry?

Me mostly but Greg will start a load and take a load out. He's never folded or hung up laundry in our married life, would love if I could get him to do that!
I was asking Greg these questions and we had the same answers on all of them until this one. He wants it known he has put up clothes, the ones I have already folded or put on hangers and left on the bed. He has put them away so that counts....yeah right! LOL!! Oh and he has folded towels too!

Who is better with a computer?

Me, I am on my computer all the time. I know just enough to be dangerous but I can check my email, facebook, blog and even update my website so I'm doing pretty good. Greg has had to have Emma help him in the past but he is getting a bit better.

Who drives when you are together?

Greg usually unless his back is giving him fits. I prefer for him to drive, he makes me feel so at ease and safe plus I get to just watch him as he drives. Love that!

There you go, my answers to a bunch of random and useless to you questions. This could make for a great scrapbook page especially when I get Greg to answer the same questions. I see a He Said/She Said layout coming on..........ohhh and I have the perfect paper for it too!

I am wearing... Shorts! First time in at least 3 years I've owned shorts! Crazy huh? Now I just need a tan! LOL!

I am creating... nothing at the moment but have some ideas and a box of paper at my feet calling my name.

I am going... to read in my book tonight, hopefully not as late as last night though. Hence the reason I am thinking about taking a nap...good book, late night!

I am reading... Lisa Gardner, The Other Daughter, good book that I really don't have time to be reading but am doing anyway!

I am hoping... to get my to-do list done this week and possibly go see a movie.

I am hearing... Emma and Ryli chatter after being apart for almost a week! Very cute the conversations they are having!

Around the house... dirty clothes everywhere!! I didn't know we had taken that many clothes with us on vacation and every single item needs to be washed. UGH!

One of my favorite things... Diet Vanilla Coke from Sonic, in need of one now been a few days since I had one.

A few plans for the rest of the week... spend some quiet time with Emma in the mornings aka sleep in a bit, catch up on some orders, cut/pack new kits for crop and website and shop for door prizes for crop.

Oh my, we've been busy! Between teaching at CK shows for Lickety Split Scrapbooks, the three home group classes, designing and cutting new kits, school getting out, making plans for Beat the Heat Crop in July .....need I say more? It's been busy, busy around here and it's only going to get crazier. I'll be gone the next three weeks to shows, home a week then off to spend a week with Wendy and her family for a much needed break. (Can't wait for that!!) For those that attended our November Vegas Baby! Crop you will remember Sherry and Peggy from The Scrap Nook. They were first time vendors with K.I.S.S. and were deemed a must -have-back due to their fantastic selection of product and their fun, crazy personalities. Well....they have opened a 2nd The Scrap Nook location in Springfield!! I know, I'm so excited! They have the greatest selection of product and you can count on a laugh or two when around them. I'm just bummed that I can't get up there this week but you can bet I'll be headed up there very soon. (Debbie...you up for a road trip?)

I'm such a blog looser!! I fully plan to keep it updated then life and work happen, the days slip by and next thing you know it's been a month. EEKS!!!

Let's see, since our last post we spent a fantastic weekend with 60 croppers for our 2nd annual Spring Fling. We had lots of laughter, a special Easter Egg Hunt, lots of door prizes given out, a crazy chicken that kept jumping from table to table, some AWESOME Red Light specials and our now famous Paper Train, ....whew....that was all in two crazy days!! Enjoy the pictures.... oh and why did they have the plates on their heads? I don't know!! LOL!!!

For those looking for the number 1 egg (Amber!!) we found it!!
It was on top of the stereo the entire weekend. LOL!!

It's almost time for Spring Fling! Mom and I will be busy all next week buying supplies, getting orders unpacked, prizes ready and of course all the goodies we have for you. We've got a fun theme idea that I think you're gonna like!! I'm very excited to see it all come together.

If you are attending be watching for your email to arrive in boxes by Monday. It will give you all the important details.

I haven't had a chance to send out a big HI to all those that took the Lickety Split Scrapbook classes in Portland! I had a wonderful group of ladies the entire weekend, some I thought might be stalking me by the number of classes they took, LOL!! I have to say Wendy out done herself in the designing which makes teaching so much fun and makes my job easy.

For those in the St. Louis area be sure to check out the Creating Keepsakes classes, I'll be teaching all 8 of the Lickety Split Scrapbook classes and would love to have you join us.

Got this in an email today and thought you all needed a good laugh too!
Just beware, you will laugh out loud so make sure boss is at lunch!

All hair removal methods have tricked women with their promises of easy, painless removal - the Epilate, scissors, razors, Nair and now...the wax. Read on.

My night began as any other normal weeknight. Come home, fix dinner, and play with the kids. I then had the thought that would ring painfully in my mind for the next few hours:

' Maybe I should pull the waxing kit out of the medicine cabinet. ' So I headed to the site of my demise: the bathroom.

It was one of those ' cold wax ' kits. No melting a clump of hot wax, you just rub the strips together in your hand, they get warm and you peel them apart and press them to your leg (or wherever else) and you pull the hair right off.

No muss, no fuss. How hard can it be? I mean, I ' m not a genius, but I am mechanically inclined enough to figure this out. (YA THINK!?!)

So I pull one of the thin strips out. Its two strips facing each other stuck together. Instead of rubbing them together, my genius kicks in so I get out the hair dryer and heat it to 1000 degrees.

( ' Cold wax, ' yeah. Right!) I lay the strip across my thigh. Hold the skin around it tight and pull. IT WORKS!

Ok, so it wasn't the best feeling, but it wasn't too bad. I can do this! Hair removal no longer eludes me! I am She-rah, fighter of all wayward body hair and maker of smooth skin extraordinaire.

With my next wax strip I move north. After checking on the kids, I sneak back into the bathroom, for the ultimate hair fighting championship. I drop my panties and place one foot on the toilet. Using the same procedure, I apply the wax strip across the right side of my bikini line, covering the right half of my hoo-ha and stretching down the inside of my butt cheek (it *was* a long strip) I inhale deeply and brace myself..... RRRRRRIIIIIIPPPPPP!

I ' m blind!!! Blinded from pain!!!!!.....OH MY GAWD!!!!!!!!!!

Vision returning, I notice that I've only managed to pull off half the strip. CRAP! Another deep breath and RIPP! Everything is spinning and spotted. I think I may pass out...must stay conscious... must stay conscious.

Do I hear crashing drums???? Breathe, breathe .OK, back to normal. I want to see my trophy - a wax covered strip, the one that has caused me so much pain, with my hairy pelt sticking to it. I want to revel in the glory that is my triumph over body hair. I hold up the strip. There ' s no hair on it. Where is the hair??? WHERE IS THE WAX????

Slyly I ease my head down, foot still perched on the toilet. I see the hair. The hair that should be on the strip. It ' s not!! I touch I am touching wax.

I run my fingers over the most sensitive part of my body, which is now covered in cold wax and matted hair. Then I make the next BIG mistake... remember my foot is still propped upon the toilet? I know I need to do something. So I put my foot down.

Sealed shut! My butt is sealed shut. Sealed shut!

I penguin walk around the bathroom trying to figure out what to do next and think to myself, ' Please, don ' t let me get the urge to poop. My head may pop off! ' What can I do to melt the wax?

Hot water!! Hot water melts wax!!!! I'll run the hottest water I can stand into the bathtub, get in, immerse the wax-covered bits and the wax should melt and I can gently wipe it off, right???? *WRONG!!!!!!!*

I get in the tub - the water is slightly hotter than that used to torture 20 prisoners of war or sterilize surgical equipment - I sit.

Now, the only thing worse than having your nether regions glued together, is having them glued together and then glued to the bottom of the tub...in scalding hot water. Which, by the way, doesn't melt cold wax.

So, now I ' m stuck to the bottom of the tub as though I had cemented myself to the porcelain!!! God bless the man who had convinced me a few months ago to have a phone put in the bathroom!!!!!

I call my friend, thinking surely she has waxed before and have some secret of how to get me undone. It ' s a very good conversation starter ' So, my butt and hoo-ha are glued together to the bottom of the tub! '

There is a slight pause. She doesn't know any secret tricks for removal but she does try to hide her laughter from me. She wants to know exactly where the wax is located, ' are we talking cheeks or hole or hoo-ha? '

She ' s laughing out loud by now... I can hear her. I give her the rundown and she suggests I call the number on the side of the box.

YEAH!!!! RIGHT!!!! I should be the joke of someone else ' s night.

While we go through the various solutions, I resort to trying to scrape the wax off with a razor. Nothing feels better than having your girlie goodies covered in hot wax, glued shut, stuck to the tub in super hot water and then dry-shaving the sticky wax off!!!!

By now the brain is not working, dignity has taken a major hike and I ' m pretty sure I ' m going to need Post-Traumatic Stress counseling for this event.

My friend is still talking with me when I finally see my saving grace...the lotion they give you to remove the excess wax. What do I really have to lose at this point? I rub some on and OH MY GAWD!!!!!!!!

The scream probably woke the kids and scared the dickens out of my friend. Its sooo painful, but I really don ' t care. ' IT WORKS!!!! It works!!!! '

I get a hearty congratulation from my friend and she hangs up. I successfully remove the remainder of the wax and then notice to my grief and despair. THE HAIR IS STILL THERE..ALL OF IT!

So I recklessly shave it off. Heck, I 'm numb by now. Nothing hurts - I could have amputated my own leg at this point.

Next week I ' m going to try hair color!

2/15/09 - Sunday

Dinner at the in-laws and today Greg made his yummy potato soup! Let me tell you, it's delicious!! I'm so thankful I have a hubby that not only cooks but cooks REALLY good!

2/16/09- Monday

We made goodie bags for all her friends at school in honor of her birthday. Love the fact that her birthday is just after Valentine's Day and she loves pink. You can bet I take advantage of that while I can.

2/17/09 - Tuesday

She's 7 today!! We took doughnuts and milk to school. She got her birthday hat and birthday "spankings". When asked what the best part of the day was... her answer, "I got called on more today than ever. I usually get called on 4 times a day and my hands always up mommy. Today I got called on LOTS!" Happy Birthday Emma! Love you!

2/18/09 - Wednesday

I won!! I really won!! Okay so it's not the lottery but I never win anything. I was sent a link to a blog that was giving away Tim McGraw's new book, My Little Girl and so I entered and I WON!! The book is an awesome story about the relationship between father/daughters. Emma took the cover off and gave it to me cause "it has Tim's picture on it mommy". What a good girl!!

2/19/09 - Thursday

Isn't this cake incredible? Ordered it from Debbie by phone. (I have her info if you are interested, she's from Diamond) Told her the theme and colors and sent her a picture of the napkins. This is what we get when we meet her Thursday night. Too cute for words and it was WONDERFUL!!

2/20/09 - Friday

It's time to Disco and Disco they did!! We filled the room with 21 little girls and 3 boys, a disco ball, music and tons of fun!! It's hard to put into words how much I love watching her dance, interact with her friends, smile and laugh!! After the party Emma and I decided that one of our favorite parts of the night was dancing around before everyone got there. Great memories!!

2/21/09 - Saturday

She's set for at least a year and then some!! Can you tell she's excited...pink clothes, pink hat, High School musical, Hannah Montana, stuffed animals, movies, crafty things...all things girly!! She didn't get one thing duplicated and she loved everything. Her favorite, her new MP3 player from Aunt Julie and family. She loves rockin' out with that thing. Why do they have to grow up? WHY???

Project 365 - Week 7

2/8/09 - Sunday

Had class with my Granby group today after church. We've been meeting for at least 3 years one Sunday a month. While the group has seen some faces come and go the core group has remained the same. We have a great time scrapping, laughing, chatting and sharing. It's a highlight of my month. They have all become very close friends!

2/9/09- Monday

Monday started normal, took the kids to school, went to bank, came home, checked email and THEN I got a phone call. A mom from my daughters grade school. She was there and they were moving the kids from the classrooms to the gym under a bomb threat. Okay, okay! I know these are usually pranks but for that one moment your heart stops! Mom and I jumped in the truck to go to the school. We ended up with 8 kiddos coming back home with us. The school was given an all clear about 11:30 and the kids got a day off again! (not sure what's up with the picture. I took it on my camera phone and it's fine until I transfer it! UGH!)

2/10/09 - Tuesday

Spent almost 3 hours at the doctors office with BOTH kids today! Not fun!! We thought they had strep throat. Both were complaining of terrible soar throats and Emma had a stiff neck. They tested negative and were given some prescriptions for what he thought might be the onset of the Flu! NO!!! It can't be!!! (they don't look sick do they? I think being in that little bitty room for over an hour was getting too all of us and we were getting a little slap happy!!)

2/11/09 - Wednesday

This is Emma's room. The papers are taped to her sloping ceiling and are some of her masterpieces of the week. I tried to tell her they wouldn't stay but she insisted. I went upstairs a few hours after putting her to bed and found her at the foot of her bed with masterpieces all around her feet! It was sooo funny!!! (Can you tell what her favorite color is???)

2/12/09 -Thursday

Today we had the Valentine's Day party at school. We had ice cream sundaes, brownies and of course tons of candy. When we got home Ryli and Emma decided it was warm out (61 degrees) so they put on their swimsuits, grabbed a towel and headed outside to sunbathe on the trampoline. Mom happens to look out the window and they have the water hose turned on and are having a ball!! After a few quick pictures the water was turned off and they were reminded it is still WINTER!!

We got our Valentine's gifts from dad tonight. This is the one and only holiday that he takes charge of. He started it several years ago and it's since become a tradition. Emma and I get new pj's and Tyler gets some new fishing tackle. It's not much, it's not about the gift, it's the tradition!!

2/14/09- Saturday

Happy Valentine's Day!! We had a great day. Emma's friend Morgan came over to stay for the first time. Imagine the delight when they got home and went to change clothes and found they had matching pajamas! The pj's daddy bought Emma for Valentine's were the same pj's Morgan brought with her. The squeals were delightful!!

She's 7 today!

Oh my gosh! Where did time go? Emma is 7 today and let me tell ya it's a BIG, MAJOR day for her!! She's been waiting for this day for a very long time. I've been trying to talk her into skipping it and staying 6 but she won't have anything to do with it!! She's ready to be seven!

Honestly though, where did time go?

I remember...the day I found out I was expecting a little girl. Stunned, scared, excited, nervous, thankful, grateful, blessed, so many emotions.

I remember... the day I went into labor. I took a nap, woke up and told Greg we better get to the hospital. Just a few short hours later we had this stunning little creature in our arms. Boy was life about to change!!

I remember... the night I was nursing her and she quit breathing. I know that my heart stopped at that moment and I went into auto pilot. After a hospital stay we came home hooked to an apnea monitor, hearts beating and scared out of our minds, afraid to sleep, listening for the beeping of the machine, feeling for her chest to rise and fall, rushing to the hospital several more times, cautious, careful...so very thankful that we still had her.

I remember... the first time she took steps. We were at Nanny's house and I sat on one side of the room, Daddy on the other and she just started walking. She looked like a pro, like she had been doing it for years! Nanny clapping the entire time.

I remember... her being so different from Tyler in many ways....calm, quiet, nursing, not a great
sleeper, would smile for anyone, looked so darn cute in those girly outfits and bows!

I remember... watching her and daddy dancing together as she wrapped him around her little finger!

I remember... seeing the bond between her and Ryli grow into the most amazing friendship.

I remember... the first day of school. I thought I would cry like I did with Tyler but she was so brave, so big, so excited!

I remember...her sleeping in her Nanny's arms the night before she passed away. I remember how unaware, unafraid, how comfortable she was being there with her Nanny. Not scared of the machines, not aware of all the others in the room, not noticing the coughs from Nanny, not wanting anything but to cuddle with her Nanny. She just crawled right up there, over the machines, over the cords.... snuggled in Nanny's arms like she had done so many other times and fell asleep.

I remember how tough she is...stitches in her lip at 3, double root canals at 5, broken arm at 6, 6 teeth pulled at 6. Crazy tough, highest pain tolerance I've ever seen!! " Tougher than any boy", yet very girly girl!!

I remember how blessed I am to have this little girl. She's amazing, she's mine, she's Emma and she's 7!!!

Happy Birthday Emma Grace!! Love you!

2/1/09 - Sunday

Every Sunday we have dinner at Greg's parents. We each bring a dish, eat and often end up playing the Wii except during football season. Emma's so glad football is over, she loves to give Uncle Bryce a hard time and try to beat him in bowling!

2/2/09- Monday

I can't believe my little girl is playing the piano! It's truly amazing how fast she has picked it up. Her teacher seems pleased and said she had a natural talent for it. Tyler's teacher said the same thing about him when he played the trumpet. So glad we are doing the lessons, it's worth every penny to hear her play!

2/3/09- Tuesday

McDonald's, our normal Tuesday routine. We have dance class on Tuesday so Emma and I usually go through McDonald's for dinner. She gets reading certificates for a free Happy Meal and I like the $1 McChicken so for less than $3.00 we have dinner out and some quiet time with just us girls.

2/4/09 - Wednesday

This is what my mom does all day! Make mess after mess!! She's been cutting MOSD Intricacies for the last few days and they make such a mess. It's a good thing she cleans up before she leaves!

2/5/09- Thursday

My poor sweet girl!! She had to have three more teeth pulled today. She's so brave. Not a whimper, not a whine, not a complaint! She sat there like such a big girl. I think having Dr. Menke as her dentist helps. He's really great with kids. We keep teasing Emma that we are gonna have her mouth insured! We've spent so much money on that kids mouth already at 6 and we know that's only the beginning. UGH!!

2/6/09- Friday

Worked on class kits for a new group all week. I love designing pages and love teaching so adding another home class to the calendar is exciting since it combines both designing and teaching!! I finished 6 new kits in the past few days and packed over 100 kits with the help of mom.

2/7/09 - Saturday

This is what I found on my board when I got home from class. It's a message from Emma about her birthday wishes. It reads "This is what I want for my birthday. Kids bop 15, amrcn girl doll close (american girl doll clothes), lunch box, a alrma clock (alarm clock), stuf anmals (stuffed animals), high school musicol (high school musical). Too cute!!
